Sahar Alaviani is a passionate and driven lawyer with a diverse background in both Iranian and Canadian legal systems. She holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Law from Iran, specializing in International Trade Law. Throughout her career, Sahar has faced significant challenges, overcoming systemic obstacles in a male-dominated legal environment. Despite these hurdles, she has built a successful career, including roles with the Iran Central Bar Association, and as a Legal Services Manager at Diginext.ir, leading legal teams at Cafe Bazaar, and contributing to arbitration projects at the Tehran Regional Arbitration Centre (TRAC). In addition to her professional work, Sahar is dedicated to advocacy and empowerment, aiming to mentor women in Iran and globally. She has volunteered with the Atira Women’s Resource Society and has been a clinician with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program (LSLAP) in Vancouver. Her skills include strong attention to detail, organizational expertise, and a commitment to active learning. Fluent in both English and Persian, Sahar is also an animal lover, yogi, and handpan player, embodying a holistic approach to life and career.
