Tara Kade

Tara is a dedicated legal professional with extensive experience in various roles within the legal field. Currently, she is an Associate at Clifford Chance in Manhattan, New York, a position she has held since October 2023. Before this, Tara worked as an Academic Coach at Columbia Law School from October 2022 to April 2023, where she provided remote academic support to law students.

In the summer of 2022, Tara gained valuable experience as a Summer Law Clerk at Clifford Chance. Prior to that, she served as a Legal Advocate at Morningside Heights Legal Services Inc from September 2021 to May 2022, working in both Manhattan and Brooklyn, New York. She also interned at The Legal Aid Society as a Legal Extern from January to April 2022, further honing her legal skills.

Tara’s teaching experience includes a short-term role as a Teaching Fellow at Columbia Law School in January 2022. She also interned at Sanctuary for Families as a Legal Intern from June to August 2021, working both remotely and in the Bronx. Additionally, she served as a Research Assistant at The American Law Institute from May to August 2021, in a remote role based in Manhattan.

Her early career includes over seven years as a Freelance Private Tutor, from August 2013 to September 2020. During her time at UC San Diego, she worked as a Student Advocate in the ASUCSD Office of Student Advocacy from January 2019 to June 2020, and as a Writing Consultant at the Teaching and Learning Commons from April 2018 to June 2020. She also interned with AmeriCorps as a JusticeCorps Intern from September 2018 to June 2019 in El Cajon, California, and served as a Resident Judge for QallOut – Online Video Debates from September 2017 to April 2018.

Tara’s education includes a Juris Doctor (JD) from Columbia Law School, which she completed in May 2023, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego, which she completed in June 2020. Her varied roles and comprehensive education have equipped her with a broad skill set in legal advocacy, research, and education, making her a well-rounded and experienced legal professional.
